Terms of Service

By installing, accessing, or using the CodeAddict Visual Studio Code extension ("Extension") or the CodeAddict website ("Website"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use CodeAddict.

CodeAddict is a VS Code extension that tracks your coding activity — including time spent coding, programming languages used, and lines of code written — and generates shareable daily snapshot images summarizing your activity. The Extension operates entirely on your local machine. No data is sent to external servers.

You agree to use CodeAddict only for lawful purposes. You may:

• Install and use the Extension in your VS Code environment for personal or professional coding activity tracking
• Share the generated daily snapshot images on social media, personal websites, or any platform of your choice
• Use the Extension in both personal and commercial development environments

You may not:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Extension
• Modify, adapt, or create derivative works based on the Extension
• Remove or alter any proprietary notices, labels, or branding from the Extension or generated images
• Use the Extension in any way that could damage, disable, or impair its functionality

CodeAddict, including its design, code, branding, and generated image templates, is the intellectual property of IndianAppGuy Tech Pvt Ltd. The daily snapshot images you generate are yours to share, but the CodeAddict branding and template design remain our property.

CodeAddict processes all data locally on your device. We do not collect, transmit, or store any of your coding data, personal information, or source code. For full details, please review our Privacy Policy.

If you sign up for the CodeAddict waitlist, you consent to receiving email communications about product updates, launch announcements, and early access invitations. You may unsubscribe from these communications at any time by using the unsubscribe link in any email or by contacting us directly.

CodeAddict is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Extension will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. You use CodeAddict at your own risk.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, IndianAppGuy Tech Pvt Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of CodeAddict. This includes, but is not limited to, loss of data, loss of profits, or interruption of coding activity.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of CodeAddict after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
