CodeAddict is a Visual Studio Code extension that tracks your coding activity — time spent, languages used, and lines written — entirely on your local machine. We are committed to your privacy and have designed CodeAddict to work without collecting, storing, or transmitting any personal data to external servers.

We do not collect any data. CodeAddict operates 100% locally within your VS Code environment. All coding activity data — including session duration, programming languages, and line counts — is processed and stored on your device only.

Specifically, we do not collect:

• Personal information (name, email, IP address)
• Source code or file contents
• Browsing or usage analytics
• Telemetry or crash reports
• Any data transmitted to third-party services

All data generated by CodeAddict is stored locally on your machine within VS Code's extension storage. This includes:

• Daily coding session summaries (time, language, lines)
• Generated shareable images
• Activity graph data

You have full control over this data and can delete it at any time by uninstalling the extension or clearing its storage through VS Code settings.

CodeAddict generates daily snapshot images summarizing your coding activity. These images are created and stored locally on your device. Sharing these images on social media or other platforms is entirely your choice — CodeAddict does not automatically upload or share anything on your behalf.

CodeAddict does not integrate with, send data to, or receive data from any third-party services, analytics platforms, or external APIs. The extension functions entirely offline.

If you sign up for the CodeAddict waitlist on our website, we collect only the email address you provide. This email is used solely to notify you about CodeAddict updates and early access. We will never sell, share, or use your email for any other purpose. You can unsubscribe at any time.

CodeAddict does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13. Since the extension collects no personal data at all, it is safe for users of all ages.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
